Popis
Shandong Province is not very well-known for tea. Teas from Laoshan are grown at a lower altitude than is traditional. The area is cooler and close to the ocean, which is why tea is often cultivated in glasshouses here. During winter, the glasshouses are fully covered to protect the tea bushes from severe frost until the beginning of spring. This tea comes from the first spring harvest. The cultivated variety here is Long Jing No. 43, and its character is clearly reflected in the cup – a sweet, rich flavor with notes of young peas, meadow honey, and coconut.
