Popis

We have decided to include another country in our selection and that is Vietnam, which has been very popular in Europe lately.

Vietnam is known as one of the oldest tea growing regions in the world, with a vast area of ancient tea gardens stretching from the north-east to the north-west. Hà Giang Province is located in the north-eastern part of Vietnam on the border with the Chinese province of Yunnan. This area is famous for its wild ancient trees (Assamica variety), which have been cultivated here for hundreds and even thousands of years. The unique climate, high altitude, soil and high humidity create an excellent environment for the growth of tea trees, giving this tea a particularly special character and flavour.

This tea comes from the Cao Bồ Mountains in Hà Giang Province. The material is collected from 150-200 year old wild Camellia sinensis var. Assamica growing in the mountain area at an altitude of around 1400 m. It is collected by members of the Dao people, an ethnic minority in both Vietnam and China, a significant number of whom live in the Chinese province of Yunnan.
