The tea pot is from the small ceramic workshop in Yingge, Taiwan. It is made by older couple.
The clay that was used for their production is from Miaoli. Teapots are made through gypsum form – form for a corpus, sponges, lid and handle. They pour relatively liquid clay into the form, let it stand a little – gypsum pulls water from the clay. They pour the rest liquid clay out and remove the corpus, assemble it together, then clean, polish and burn.
The tea pot isn’t glazed inside.
