Wu Dong village and its surroundings are one of the best terroirs in the area. The local soil and altitude give the local teas unmistakable aroma and flavor. The area is located between 800 to 1400 meters above sea level and area is still divided by locals into small and large Wu Dong. Wu Dong Village is located at an altitude of about 1100 meters.
The old garden is located in the village behind the building of a small factory where wouldn’t be expected it. In the garden there are several trees of this variety around 100 years old and a few trees around 50 years – our tea is made from it.
Shui Xian is one of the most famous rock teas in Wuyishan, but nearly nobody knows that it originally is from Wu Dong, where it has been growing for over 700 years.
Baked in a wood oven at a temperature of about 100 degrees for 9 hours and another baking was one more hour at the same temperature.
